Besides the above, we had to make some changes to the Look & Feel of the new website. A major task to accomplish was to decide on content readability and typography. While Arial (the previous font of this website) was a good font for on-screen reading, it has been around for a while, and monitors have evolved since then, making Arial a rather clumsy choice for on-screen reading today. It's succesor, Verdana (another Sans-serif font) has been around for a while, and is highly optimized for on-screen reading. Combined with Georgia for headings, and some major tweaks in CSS styles, we finally managed to roll out the updated version of the website, with some major cosmetic improvements (for both, logged-in and anonymous users).
